Tank Fleet Portal

Last updated June 4, 2024

Many of our customers at Tank Payments use Tank's fleet capabilities to get money to drivers faster and maintain control over corporate spend. Fleet managers may have difficulty monitoring spend, card status, and other important information through the Tank app on mobile devices. For customers that need more, we've launched the Tank Fleet Portal.

What Can I Do with the Tank Fleet Portal?

Tank Fleet Portal provides fleet managers with visibility into fleet activity on the Tank card. Today, you can:

  • View real-time Tank card balances and recent activity for your any Tank cardholder in your fleet, or for your entire account.
  • Produce accounting reports for any time frame in your Tank account, which you can upload to Quickbooks or provide to an accountant.
  • Give your bookkeeper or accountant read-only access to activity in your Tank account.

We're continuing to invest in the fleet experience, and we plan on adding additional features to the portal soon.

What are the different pages in my Tank Fleet Portal?

Your Tank Fleet portal comes pre-loaded with two tabs. The information in the tab labeled "Tank Account" covers information about your entire Tank account. In this tab, you'll find information about all transactions occurring within your account, not just Tank card spend. Those transactions include deposits from your factoring company, other deposits, transactions made using the Tank account and routing number, transfers to people and bank accounts, as well as Tank card spend. To interact with this page:

  1. View your real-time Tank Account balance at the top of the screen.
  2. View the most recent activity associated with your account.
  3. Use the filters to select specific time frames and transaction details. For example, to only look at received credits (deposits into your Tank account) in the last 7 days, select the last 7 days in the Reporting Date Rage, select the "Received Credit" transaction type, and select the "Posted" transaction status.

The other tab is the "Fleet Management" tab. The transactions and information you find in this tab only take into account Tank card spend. You won't find information about money transfers or other transactions in this tab. There are two main views on this page - the fleet summary, and details about an individual cardholder. When you interact with the filters at the top of the page, please note that all the information in the data tables will reflect the filtered data. You can similarly download CSV tables containing the information from these data tables. To interact with this page:

  1. Choose the appropriate Reporting Date Range and Transaction Status in the filters at the top of the page.
  2. View the summary information about every cardholder in your fleet based on the filters you've applied.
  3. Click on an individual cardholder to view information specific to that cardholder during the time period you've selected in your filters.

How do I provide my bookkeepers or accountant access to my Tank Fleet Portal?

You can provide your company's bookkeeper or accountant with read-only access to your Tank account. This is helpful in cases where you need an accountant to review transactions and review account balances over any time frame. With read-only access, your bookkeepers and accountants will not be able to modify any settings in your Tank account.

Please send an email to  support@tankpayments.com  to set up your bookkeeper or accountant with access to your Tank account.
