Disputing a Transaction

If you see a charge you don't recognize or something went wrong with a purchase, you can report the issue directly from the Tank app.

You can dispute a transaction for the following reasons:

  1. There is a fraudulent transaction that you did not authorize
  2. You were charged the incorrect amount or double-charged
  3. The items you received is different from what you purchased
  4. You did not receive an incentive that you expected to receive from the transaction (e.g., cash back bonus or discount)

How to dispute a transaction

  1. Find and select the transaction that you intend to dispute
  2. Tap Report an Issue or Get Help
  3. Select the issue type and follow the steps to complete your dispute

If you are disputing a fraudulent charge, lock your Tank Cars(s) immediately from the Cards section to block future transactions. Our team will review your dispute and follow up via chat or email.

Some charges appear as pending before settling — wait for the final charge amount to be confirmed before disputing
