Tank is the cheapest and fastest way to get paid for your invoices. Your Tank Account is a no-fee, financial account designed for businesses that use factoring services.

Deposits to your Tank Account will be made within seconds of your invoices being purchased, with no additional money transfer fees.

With Tank, you’re in control of your funds. You can pay a person, like a driver or dispatcher, pay a bill, set up autodraft for recurring expenses, or transfer funds to a traditional bank account. 

Your Tank Card is the most convenient way to spend funds out of the Tank Account. It is a no-fee business card that can be used anywhere Visa is accepted. You can link it to Apple or Google Pay and use it to withdraw from ATMs.

FAQ: What is Tank?

As a Tank account holder, you'll be able to quickly easily connect your Tank account to your Quickbooks Online account. 

Because your financial account is already integrated with Quickbooks, you don't need to download transaction data from your Tank account and upload to your Quickbooks, although you always have that option through your Fleet Accounting Portal. As a reminder, you can always invite a bookkeeper or accountant your Fleet Accounting Portal.

When you connect your Tank account to Quickbooks, you'll be able to sync all historical transactions, and the data is kept in sync going forward. When asked to log in, please provide the following information:

PhoneNumber: The same phone number you log into your Tank app with, formatted as +15551234567

Do not include any dashes "-" or parentheses "(" ")"

Password: The same password you already use with your Tank app on your phone

After you've logged in, you'll be instructed to connect the Tank bank feed to a chart of accounts. Once you've assigned a chart of accounts, you'll then be able to review and categorize the transactions according to your accounting workflow.

No, getting paid via Tank does not impact your factoring rate. The terms of your relationship with your factoring company remain unchanged. You still submit invoices directly to your factoring company. They still check the paperwork and make invoice purchasing decisions.

FAQ: How do I Transfer Money to my External Bank Account?

You can pay any individual (drivers, dispatchers, mechanics, etc.) through the Pay tab in the Tank Application with only a phone number. When you pay an individual through Tank, they will receive a text message prompting them to cash out their funds to a bank account or debit card. Recipients can cash out funds for free (via ACH) or instantly (via their debit card). Instant cash outs are available 24/7, outside of normal banking hours.

FAQ: How can I pay my drivers with Tank?

Tank does not currently work with Zelle. However, your Tank Account is a fully featured financial account, so you can send and receive money to drivers, vendors, or family in a similar way that you send money through these services.

Tank is compatible with Cash App. You can transfer funds to Cash App or pay individuals directly onto a Cash App Cash Card. 

FAQ: Does Tank work with Zelle or Cash App?

No, Tank is a mobile web application, so you do not need to download a new app on your phone. Each time your Tank Account is funded and each time you make a transaction with the Tank Card, you will receive a text message notification with a link to your Tank Account (app.tankpayments.com), so accessing your Tank Account is always easy.

You can use Tank without downloading anything.

FAQ: Do I need to download an app to use Tank?

Yes, you can request as many Tank Cards as you like. You can also put spending limits on each Tank Card and control those limits through the Tank Application. To learn more about how to use Tank as a fleet card solution, 

There are no restrictions on adding Tank Cards for others in your business.

FAQ: Can I get multiple Tank Cards for my drivers and business partners?

No, Tank provides unlimited instant payments, so you no longer need to batch invoices together and wait until the end of the week in order to submit them all at once. You can submit multiple invoices per day, every day. Tank does not charge any transaction fees, although your factoring company may have a small fee to fund your Tank account.

FAQ: Is there a limit on the number of times I can get funded via Tank?

Once your preferred method of payment has been updated to Tank, you no longer need to select payment via ACH vs wire, because every payment is instant. 

Some factoring companies may provide the option to change funding method (e.g. "Wire") for specific invoices, in which case you'd be funded through that method instead.

All your payments will be instant - unless you choose otherwise.

FAQ: Do all of my payments come through Tank?

Yes, your Tank Account is a fully featured financial account with an account and routing number, so you can use it to make automated recurring payments to service providers like insurance companies or fuel cards. To set up automated withdrawals from your Tank Account, simply provide your new account and routing number to your service provider. You can find your Tank account and routing number on the Setting page of your Tank application.

FAQ: Can I pay my bills with Tank?

Tank currently supports these types of money transfer: ACH, Same-day ACH, instant debit, and wires. We'll soon offer even more ways of moving money where you need it to go. ACH transfers from your Tank Account are always free. For accelerated transfers, Tank charges a small fee.

FAQ: Does Tank charge money transfer fees?

Yes, Tank cardholders can withdraw up to $2,500 per day from ATMs. You can check your Tank Account balance at any ATM for free, and you will not be charged an ATM surcharge at any Visa+ Alliance ATM (available at many retails locations). To find a Visa+ Alliance ATM,

No! There are never ANY hidden fees with Tank. Tank does not charge an account maintenance fee or overdraft fees. There is no minimum balance required to be held in your Tank Account.

Once your invoice has been purchased by your factoring company, we fund your Tank Account instantly. You will receive a text notification within 1 minute of your Tank Account being funded with an updated balance.

FAQ: How quickly is money available in my Tank Account?

No, unlike traditional payment methods, there is no cutoff time to get funded through Tank. As long as your factoring company is open and purchasing invoices (check with your factoring company for the invoice submission cutoff), Tank will fund your account as soon as an invoice is purchased, whether it's 9am or 4:30pm on a Friday.

Yes, your Tank Account is a business account with your business as the beneficiary. 

When opening your Tank Account, we verify your business with the IRS using your business's EIN. We also verify each owner of the business who holds a stake of 25% or more, and each owner can also be granted access as a user or administrator of the Tank Account.

As a Tank Payments customer, you may delete your account and personal data at any time. This guide outlines the simple steps to permanently delete your account.

Our partnership with Fifth Third Bank offers several enhancements, including:


Transfers from Fifth Third Bank use later cutoff times than ones sent with Evolve. The new cutoff times are 8:30PM ET for ACH transfers and 5:00PM ET for Wire transfers.



Transfers sent from external bank accounts to Fifth Third Bank arrive faster than those sent to Evolve. Similarly, transfers sent externally from Fifth Third Bank are deposited faster by the receiving institutions.



Fifth Third Bank is a top 20 bank in the US and leverages industry-leading infrastructure, offering a high bar for reliability and performance.


If you've shared your current account and routing numbers with anyone (like payroll companies or service providers), you'll need to give them your new details. You can find your updated account info in the Tank mobile app. After the move, payments using your old account details won't go through.


Your Tank Cards will continue to work normally. You will not need to replace your cards.



We'll securely transfer your funds from Evolve Bank & Trust to Fifth Third Bank. Your transaction history and statements will still be available in the Tank mobile app.


No Action Needed, Unless You Want to Close Your Account


This change is automatic. If you don't want your funds moved, you can choose to close your Tank Account by emailing us at 

There’s no impact on payments from your factoring company. Your factor payments will remain instant, and there’s no need to update your account details with them—the migration will be handled automatically.

No, Safe Accounts will not be impacted by the migration. These accounts already have their own account and routing numbers with Fifth Third Bank, so you can continue using them as usual without any updates.
