Connecting your Tank Account to QuickBooks

As a Tank account holder, you'll be able to quickly easily connect your Tank Account to your Quickbooks Online account.

Because your financial account is already integrated with QuickBooks, you don't need to manually download and upload transaction data from your Tank Account and upload to your Quickbooks, although you always have the option to do so through your Fleet Accounting Portal. As a reminder, you can always invite a bookkeeper or accountant your Fleet Accounting Portal.

How to upload Tank transactions to QuickBooks

When you connect your Tank account to QuickBooks, you'll be able to sync all historical transactions, and the data is kept in sync going forward. When asked to log in, please provide the following information:

  • Phone Number: Use the same phone number that is connected to your Tank Account. Include the country code format, and do not include any dashes or parentheses in your phone number (e.g., +15551234567)
  • Password: Use the same password you already use to log into your Tank Account

After logging in, you'll be instructed to connect the Tank bank feed to a chart of accounts. Once you've assigned a chart of accounts, you'll be able to review and categorize the transactions according to your accounting workflow.
