What are Safe Accounts?
Safe Accounts are sub-accounts that you can create within your Tank Account for specific purposes (e.g., fuel, taxes, insurance, emergency savings).
How do they work?
- Each Safe has its own unique account and routing number. You can route outside payments directly to a Safe account
- Funds can be transferred instantly between your Safe Account and your Primary account
- Money stored in a Safe Account is shielded from Tank Card purchases
Creating a Safe account
- Open your Tank App and to go to the Accounts tab.
- At the bottom of the screen, select Create Account.
- After creating your Account, a unique number and routing number will generate for the account.
What happens if you delete an account?
Funds from the Safe Account will be transferred back to your Primary account. Make sure to update routing information that is linked to the deleted account.
